If you are reading this article means you are a fan of science and technology and if you are a fan of science and technology you are also a fan of Iron man you all have dream that you should have that iron man suit.

Well, engineers are working on this kind of technology, and we are on the road to making that iron man armor but the destination is very far ahead.

An exoskeleton is a wearable machine that is powered by the motors or a combination of technologies that will make the limb movement of the exoskeleton with high strength.

Militaries are working day and night to make this technology better but as of now we have exoskeletons which have the strength and can lift the weight three times more than humans without any difficulty

The exoskeleton supports the shoulder waist and thigh and helps to assist the movement of heavy items

Applications of exoskeleton:

  • Medical: exoskeleton will prove to be a boon for the medical industry persons who are suffering from injuries and are physically challenged we can use artificial robotics body parts which will act as an original part and can give a new life to that person.
  • Exoskeleton parts can also be used while doing surgery doctors can do surgery with more precession.
  • The exoskeleton can be used by firefighters and other rescue departments for climbing on stairs and holding heavy equipment.
  • Automotive: exoskeleton can also be used in the automotive industry to reduce the fatigue of workers and for reducing the injury during work time.

But there are also some major limitations in these prototypes one of the major issues is of power supply suppose the exoskeleton is used by soldiers in the battlefield and their batteries get off the game is over and on the other hand these batteries are very explosive in nature we have to find the replacement of batteries to make this thing work.

And another main problem with this suit is of material firstly engineers use steel but is very heavy and as a result, the machine can’t control its own weight and on the other hand, aluminum is used which is lightweight but it can’t handle the fatigue.

Engineers are working now on carbon nanotubes for the skeleton different phases are under development.

Another difficulty is that all humans have different size of their body some have small size some have some are tall and some are short it is very difficult to make a standard size skeleton which can be fitted to every human being.

Conclusion:

If we talk about that iron man suit we have to go on a long way to achieving that but engineers are working day and night to make everything better.
