It’s almost here — the 8th installment of the Fast & Furious series, and I just cannot wait to watch it. And, why not? It’s been two years since Furious 7 gave us speeding cars, rolling cars, jumping cars and even flying cars. I’m sure the F8 will only up the game. Of course, Paul Walker will be missed, but there’s more to make this movie a must watch.

1. The family is back!

Dom, Letty, Hobbs, Roman, Tej — they’re all in for the ride. O’Connor and Mia won’t be seen, but familiar faces like Mr. Nobody and Shaw are also making a comeback so you don’t feel lost in the party.

2. The plot — Family No More!

Well, I stopped expecting the storylines and logic in this series since the infinite runway chase sequence in the sixth installment, but yes, it is interesting to see why Dom, who’s always stood for the family, goes rogue. Hobbs ends up teaming up with Shaw, whom he put behind bars the last time.

3. Dominic Toretto and his muscle cars

Don’t we all just love him? Ice-cold attitude, a crisp and measured voice, street fighter instincts and wheelie-popping muscle cars!

4. Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron plays Cipher, a criminal mastermind and cyber-terrorist who lures Dom to turn against the family. Hotness, pure hotness!

5. Crazy cars, again!

Who wants to see regular production cars in an epic car movie? Go ahead, run your imagination wild — seems to be the brief to the car designers. You get to see cars like 1929 Ford Rat Rod, McLaren 675LT, Speedkore Kuda, Twin Turbo Lamborghinis, Ferrari F430, Rolls-Royce Wraith, 1956 Chevy Bel-Air, Nissan IDx (yes!) amongst others. These cars alone cost a whopping $17 million!

6. Crazy cars mean crazy action

This is the best part — cars driven the way they’re supposed to be. F8 will give you burning cars, bursting cars, crashing cars, falling cars, pushing cars, pulling cars, grinding cars and what not! The crew ventures into Manhattan this time, which is one of the highlight chases in the movie. And imagine all this is now coming on a IMAX screen near you…

7. The Rock

Do you smell what The Rock is cooking? Dwayne Johnson entered the series in Fast 4 as Luke Hobbs and then stayed back. Still looks cool when he uses those wrestling moves to throw away the bad guys, and is always the man with the biggest gun around!

8. Jason Statham

Played the bad guy in the seventh, and seems to have switched sides in this one. The original Transporter is a perfect fit in this series, especially when it comes to the part of fist-fights with The Rock!
