Nissan Fairlady Z began life in 1969 as the 240Z roadster; an affordable, no nonsense, simple front-engine-rear-wheel-drive sports coupe. Over the years, the car has evolved and the latest car to sport the coveted Z emblem is the 370Z. Almost 50 years later, the celebrations for the car’s five decades have already begun in the form of the 370Z Heritage Edition.

The new special edition also adds a fresh garnish to the ageing 370, which has been around since 2009. The changes include a bright shade of Chicane Yellow or a nocturnal Magnetic Black. Chicane Yellow cars get tastefully done gloss black racing stripes, while the Magnetic Black cars get gloss silver ones. The insides get yellow bits on the seats, steering wheel, gear shifter and door panels.

Surprisingly, the version seems to have a very basic audio system and no multimedia / touchscreen audio or even SATNAV for that matter. It does go back to the early 370Z models that had no display and sported a glovebox in the middle of the dash.

For now, just glance through the images of the still pretty roadster that can offer you some serious kicks with its 3.7-litre V6, good enough for churning out 330 horses…
