Meet Ganesh — meditation instructor and VIDA backend developer
Ganesh joined us last October. Since then, his programming skills and calm nature have become an invaluable part of our team. When he is not working on code, he works on minds, as a meditation instructor, true to his motto: “Let’s save the world by realising ourselves”.

When not working or studying, you volunteer as a meditation instructor. What’s your secret? You must own a time turner like Hermione Granger!
Well, I guess I enjoy what I’m doing. What helps me a lot, is meditation. It’s not merely the relaxation of it, but much more the actual realisation of the self that gives me a clear mind to know what I want — and what I don’t want.
I like the idea of the time turner. In a way, meditation is like one, as it brings oneself into the present — and if you’re in the NOW, time is no more than an illusion.
What do you want to learn?
Ultimately, I want to learn how we can achieve a fully integrated society, that is able to live in balance not just with itself, but also with its environment. With VIDA I feel like I am contributing to that. I am really excited to learn about international development and what it’s like to make impactful changes at the scale of entire countries.
What do you like about working on VIDA?
First of all, I love the team behind VIDA! It is amazing to experience how people from different professional and cultural backgrounds and diverse skillsets work together so smoothly. The second thing I love about the team, is the focus on the higher goal. Everyone gives everything, not for their own profit, but to make a change. And third, utilising cutting-edge tech for a good cause is just awesome. In my opinion there is nothing more satisfying for an engineer, then to build something that serves people.
