Big news! We are happy to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Village Global Accelerator on a rolling basis. You can now submit your application any time at villageglobal.vc/apply. If accepted, you are immediately funded and given Village Global resources, you join peer founders in an upcoming program, and continue to enjoy benefits of the broader Village after commencement. The next vintage will kick off in March of 2021.

Founders have participated across the country and globe since our start, from Silicon Valley to Nigeria, India, Colombia, and more. This past summer was our first all-virtual vintage, making it even easier for founders to join masterclasses, workshops, and office hours from all over the world.

Over the course of the summer 2020 virtual vintage, founders heard from Melanie Perkins of Canva, Beth Comstock (formerly of GE), Josh McFarland of Greylock, Ann Miura-Ko of Floodgate, Pete Flint of NFX, Justin Kan (formerly of Twitch and Atrium), and many more entrepreneurs and investors.

“Love having Village involved. Overall, huge success and 10x better than other comparable programs that I’ve been a part of. We have so much more momentum and connections to pursue.” — Derek Brown, co-founder and CEO, Bunches

Companies that have been through the accelerator have raised subsequent rounds from a16z, Craft, Compound, Felicis, First Round, Founders Fund, Freestyle, General Catalyst, Homebrew, Lux, NFX, Obvious, Point72, Spark Capital, Susa, True Ventures, and more.

What founders say:

AllStripes, founded by Nancy Yu and Onno Faber, is empowering patients and communities to accelerate drug discovery for rare diseases. They have raised funding from Lux Capital, Spark Capital, and Maveron.

ADDI, founded by Santiago Suarez, Daniel Vallejo, and Elmer Ortega, is a Colombia-based company that allows borrowers to apply for credit at the point of sale. They have raised funding from a16z and Foundation Capital.

VeriSIM, founded by Jo Varshney, is developing virtual digital animal/human twins to avoid unnecessary animals testing, which will speed the drug development process. Since participating, Jo has found a co-founder to grow the company with and VeriSIM has raised over $5M in funding.

“The main decision point was the personalization and tailored program, and not being put in with a hundred other companies.” — Nancy Yu, co-founder and CEO, AllStripes.

When a company is accepted to the Village Global Accelerator, they receive:

  • 3 months of intensive, personalized support to grow the business.
