In our last vintage, founders heard from Melanie Perkins of Canva, Michael Acton Smith of Calm.com, Josh McFarland of Greylock, Ann Miura-Ko of Floodgate, Pete Flint of NFX, Justin Kan (formerly of Twitch and Atrium), and many more world-class entrepreneurs and investors.

We announced in December that we’d be moving to rolling applications, meaning founders can apply to the accelerator at any time. If accepted, companies get Village Global funding, resources, and events right away, without having to wait until the accelerator starts. Startups shouldn’t be beholden to application cycles to get access to valuable resources and funding, and this change reduces barriers, allowing founders to move fast.

There is an early application deadline, February 3rd, and final deadline, March 1st, for the Spring 2021 vintage. Here’s how the deadlines work:

• Apply by February 3rd, and get a guaranteed response by February 18th.
• Apply by March 1st, and hear from us by March 16th, before the Spring 2021 vintage kicks off on March 30th.
• If you miss the Spring 2021 deadlines and apply after March 1st, you will be considered as a rolling applicant for the next vintage planned to kick off in August 2021. If accepted, you receive capital and resources right away.

The program will continue to be entirely virtual this vintage amid COVID-19. We’ve offered founders the ability to do the accelerator remotely since the start.

Finally, the Village Global Accelerator was formerly called “Network Catalyst”. You’ll notice that we sunsetted that name for the sake of simplicity.
