A play about Esther Rolle, a Pompano hero is in the works. An original production of Let the Good Times Rolle is set to play at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center. The play is part of a community-wide effort in November to celebrate Rolle’s centennial birthday. Rolle is best known for her role as matriarch Florida Evans on the 70s sitcom Good Times. An Emmy Award-winning actor.
