Danske Bank IT HUB joins Vilnius Tech Park community

On the last week of January a few teams from Danske Bank IT Service centre in Lithuania (DGITL) — more than 100 professionals, apps and software developers joined Vilnius Tech Park community. Danske Bank teams are developing innovative financial technologies and expect to smoothly flow into park‘s community and share their knowledge.

“During the last two years we’ve grown really rapidly and our current place can’t fill so many professionals. As we want to ensure successful expansion in the future, we have searched for the additional location and creative environment. I am glad that we’ve found it at Vilnius Tech Park. We are sure that working in the same ecosystem and knowledge sharing will be useful for everyone”, says DGITL Chief of Staff Marius Ivanauskas.

Danske Bank IT HUB teams which moved in Vilnius Tech Park, are developing mobile payment platforms, creating and improving IT systems, are in charge of digitalization of financial procedures. Some of the products created by Danske Bank are being used not only in Danske Bank but also in the other biggest banks in the region.

Darius Žakaitis, the Managing Director of Vilnius Tech Park says that Danske Bank IT HUB will bring more competencies of financial technologies to the whole park‘s community. “DGITL pays a lot of attention on future finance technologies, therefore their settling in the biggest tech start up hub in the region will put us one step closer on working with talented specialists who create disruptive technology. It is not only 100 like-minded people but also the centre of financial technologies competencies which I hope will be a start for a lot of interesting projects.”

Danske Bank IT Service centre in Lithuania was established at the beginning of 2015. The fastest growing organization in the country’s market now has more than 650 specialists, which are settled in A. Goštauto street, UNIQ building. DGITL has won Most unique services provider award in CEE Shared Services awards 2017. In 2016 DGITL has received the Best Employer of the year CEE award.
