Announcing The VIMworld Community Discord Server Launch Event & AMA!
At VIMworld, we know we have been incredibly fortunate to have been able to gather such an awesome and vibrant community. We are very excited to be working towards our big and bold plans for the future and absolutely can not wait to share them with you in due course!
Before we set our plans for global domination properly in motion, we wanted to first ensure our community had a happy place to call home. For that reason, we are announcing the brand new VIMworld Community Discord Server, launching Friday, October 1st!
To celebrate the launch of the Discord Server, we have prepared over $5550 dollars worth of prizes for our new discord members! (link to be shared today on our social media channels).
A week after the launch, we will be joined by VIMworld co-founder Jackson Fu, where he will answer your questions during a live AMA session on Monday, October 11th!
We think Discord is the perfect environment for the VIMfam to hangout, explore, play and grow as a community. We hope you will love your new home as much as we do!
The VIMworld Community Discord Server Launch Event
Here at VIMworld, our focus is on fostering inclusion and togetherness. We want to reward creativity and encourage our community to dream up great stories and fantastic artworks of their own. Accordingly, for our launch event, we want to reward your creative prowess with cash prizes!
To participate in our launch event, all you have to do is submit either:
- A VIMworld Poster/Banner (banners must be 1500px by 500px)
OR
- A VIMworld short story of 1000 words or less
a) If the story is lore related then it must involve at least 1 VIMworld character within the metaverse of VIMworld lore
b) Or the story can be your own experience with VIMworld
All works will be submitted via a Google Form to be shared soon. Entrants will be judged by our team with finalists selected and then put to community vote.
Five winners will be selected from both categories, meaning there are 10 prizes to be won! The winning media will be featured in VIMworld at a future date.
The submission window will be open for 10 days — closing on Sunday, October 10th. Voting will take place throughout the submission window and close three days after submission closure, on October 13th.
Please note: The VIMworld Foundation reserves the right to use any submitted work for marketing purposes and to make edits to any materials as it sees fit before publication.
Prize Pool:
Of course, what would a competition be without prizes? The winners of the writing and the design categories will each win:
- First place: 100,000 VEED
- Second place: 75,000 VEED
- Third place: 50,000 VEED
- Fourth & Fifth place: 30,000 VEED
For a grand total of 570,000 VEED in prizes for 10 individuals! (5 from the creative writing pool, 5 from the artwork pool).
In addition, 20 individuals who engaged in the voting process will be selected at random to win 5000 VEED each!
Event Breakdown:
- All submissions will be made via a Google Forms document containing a link to the original works
- Submissions will be reviewed internally by the VIMworld team
- The selected works will then be presented to the community for voting
- Community voting will take place via a Google Forms document
- Upon submitting a vote, users become eligible to win 5000 VEED
- Finalists for each category will be announced after the closing of the vote on Sunday, October 10th
- Lucky winners from the voting pool will be randomly selected after voting has closed on Wednesday, October 13th
VIMworld Co-Founder AMA Session
Following the closure of the event, we will be joined for a live AMA session by VIMworld co-founder, Jackson Fu on Monday, October 11th, who will be stopping by to share thoughts, answer questions and maybe drop a few interesting titbits for the community. Make sure you join us!
