Today we have a huge Nufinetes release. After several months of development in stealth mode we are proud to introduce the Nufinetes Wallet extension for Google Chrome Browser. This is a completely new Nufinetes product line.

In a nutshell, this is a self-custodial wallet that allows you to manage your tokens and interact with dApps including VIMworld across multiple blockchains, which can be added to Chrome Browser as an extension. What we think is particularly awesome is that the Nufinetes Browser extension is compatible with Ethereum-like chains AND Bitcoin! Not only this, but you can manage your NFTs across multiple chains directly from the pop-out wallet interface.

Blockchains and dApp connectivity

At launch, Nufinetes Extension is compatible with the following blockchains: Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Bitcoin, Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism. By selecting Custom Networks, you may access the major testnets for each of these chains. This means you can send and receive coins on all these networks and connect with compatible dApps.

How to use Nufinetes Extension

Installation

The browser extension is available for Chrome on supported Desktop devices: Mac, PC and Linux machines. Go to the extension page in your browser and click “Add to Chrome”. Approve permission, and bingo, the app is installed! You may wish to pin Nufinetes in your browser by selecting the small pin icon when viewing all of your extensions.

Importing a wallet

When you first open Nufinetes, you will be prompted to either create or import a wallet, using your seed phrase or private key. You will also need to create a master password which can be used to sign with ANY of the individual wallets imported to your Nufinetes extension wallet. It is highly recommended that you take the time to securely back up the seed phrase for your new wallet as soon as you create it.

When creating a new wallet, as seen in the above images, you can use either a private key or a seed phrase to import a previous wallet. Seed phrase words must be lower case and separated by single spaces. If you want to create a bitcoin wallet, you’ll need to import a 12-word key or a Bitcoin private key. If you create a new Bitcoin wallet in Nufinetes, the same private key will also give access to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) networks.

Connecting to https://alpha.vimworld.com (or any dApp)

First, you may wish to ensure that Nufinetes is set as the Default wallet in the settings screen. This is particularly important if you also have Metamask installed. If you have used Metamask previously, it is also recommended to disconnect from the Metamask side to prevent interference with the Nufinetes extension.

Then, at alpha.vimworld.com, select Nufinetes extension as the connection type. On other websites/dApps including VIMworld.com you can select Metamask to prompt Nufinetes. For this to work it is very important to set Nufinetes as default wallet as described in the previous step, as well as clearing Metamask connections. If the Nufinetes popup does not appear, it may be necessary to restart your browser.

This will cause a signing dialogue to appear, signing your permission for the site to view your wallet will allow you to connect.

Using Bitcoin and custom networks

When you make a new wallet on any chain using Nufinetes, you will automatically get a Bitcoin wallet included. Selecting Bitcoin from the list of available networks will show your Bitcoin account with a legacy address, clicking this symbol ⇌ will allow you to obtain your address in the Nested Segwit, Taproot or Native Segwit formats. Further custom networks such as the Sepolia Test network (current usage: https://alpha.vimworld.com) can be added by clicking ‘Custom Networks’ in the Network selection menu.

A new home for your coins

At the Nufinetes Extension wallet home screen, you’ll be greeted by an overview of the coins in your wallet and their current value. Nufinetes pulls the latest market data to provide an on-the-spot approximate value for all the coins in your wallet. To add new coins, click the small + icon to add custom contract addresses. All other details should auto-fill.

To transfer a coin, either click the main “Send” button, or click into a coin itself. Be aware that if you have not yet backed up a new Nufinetes-generated wallet, you will need to click “Receive” before you can copy your wallet address!

Your NFTs

At Nufinetes, we’ve always maintained our appreciation of VIMs and other NFT collections. With Nufinetes Extension wallet, you can see your VIMs and NFTs directly in the pop-up window, as well as transfer them to other wallet addresses. To see your NFTs in an EVM chain wallet, simply click the NFTs tab next to your fungible token display. By clicking a particular NFT, you will see more details and the option to send them to another wallet. Take care! Transactions with NFTs just like other tokens cannot be reversed if sent to the wrong address!
