Pigsy, 7th VIM of the JTTW Collection Joins VIMworld in the First Headrush VIMdispenser Event!
On October 5th, 2021, the very first Headrush VIMdispenser event will be held!
Headlining the first Headrush VIMdispenser event is our brand new 7th and a main character VIM in the highly popular Journey to the West collection beloved by VIM owners worldwide:
Pigsy, a central protagonist in the Journey to the West epic and the wielder of the Nine-Toothed Rake is debuting on the first Multi-VIMdispenser, alongside 300 fun and rare VIMs from other collections!
Wielder of the Nine-Toothed Rake and Second Disciple of the Master Tang Monk
Known in Chinese as Zhu Bajie/Zhu Wuneng (Chinese: 豬八戒/猪悟能), Pigsy is one of the central protagonists of the story. His weapon is the Nine-Toothed Rake, forged from divine ice-iron alloy that can manipulate the flame and blizzard elementals and scatter the souls of demons and divines alike in a single strike.
His origin story before his pilgrimage journey is one of sin and punishment. He was the Marshal Canopy, the commander in chief of 80,000 Heavenly Navy Soldiers in the Jade Palace, and even took part in the battle during the Monkey King’s rampage in the Jade Palace alongside Erlang Shen. His combat prowess, while not as strong as Erlang Shen and the Monkey King, is still impressive. His downside was his lustful nature as a womanizer. He was punished by the Gods and ordered to be reincarnated as a man-eating demon pig for abusing his authority as the Marshal Canopy after drunkenly harassing Chang’e, the Lady of the Moon.
After his banishment and reincarnation to the human realm and a period of time committing atrocious sins being a man-eating demon pig known as Gang Lie, he vowed to reform himself. He made his way to the Gao village and made his name as a hardworking labourer, tending to the fields as a farmer. He was largely successful and even convinced the Village chief to grant permission to marry his daughter due to his hard work.
Eventually, he was blinded by his accomplishments and soon reverted and succumbed to his primal nature — pride, greed, sloth, gluttony and lust. Instead of tending to the fields, he devoured the produce and food in the whole village. Frightened by his change in behaviour, the village chief rescinded the marriage proposal, and Gang Lie abducted the woman against her will as a means to an end.
Shortly after this, the Master Monk arrives at the village with the Monkey King to subdue him after a distress notice. After losing badly against the Monkey King, he learns of his destiny to accompany the Monk on the Pilgrimage to the West and atone for his sins. Accepting his fate, he becomes a disciple of the Monk alongside Sha Wujing, Ao Lie and the Monkey King, receiving his eventual name of Zhu Wuneng (pig who rises to power) and Zhu Bajie (pig who follows the eight precepts) and reaches the end of the journey together with his party, atoning for his sins.
Headrush VIMdispenser: Pigsy’s Arrival
Distortions in the spacetime and dimensions have so far brought 6 of the legendary characters to VIMworld. While some were brought by means of Divine Authority such as Erlang Shen being guided by Alanna and Ao Lie by Austrfor, Pigsy mysteriously arrived in VIMworld with knowledge of his entire history and memory of his journeys as Marshal Canopy, as Gang Lie the monster and Zhu Wuneng, post-Pilgrimage, making him a force to be reckoned with. His adventures in VIMworld will see him juggling between his conflicting memories, and will be explored in our future lore series and other events.

Headrush VIMdispenser Details
Event time: Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 between 8:00 AM — 8:15 AM PST (October 5th, 3:00 PM — 3:15 PM UTC).
The Headrush VIMdispenser is an exciting new type of VIMdispenser that will open up new ways of interaction and ownership of VIMs in VIMworld. Aside from the debut VIM, Pigsy, headrush Dispensers will have a mix of different VIMs from various collections and rarities, including rare and ultra rare VIMs!
Pigsy is a VIM from the Journey to the West collection, and 150 Pigsy VIMs will be initially minted, making Pigsy one of the rarest VIMs yet.
In this event, a total of 99 Pigsy VIMs will be sold in addition to a mixture of 300 VIMs from different collections in differing rarities and quantities.
The sale will start between Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 between 8:00 AM — 8:15 AM PST (October 5th, 3:00 PM — 3:15 PM UTC).
The price will be revealed 2 days prior to the sale, with the different VIMs in the Dispenser revealed on a daily basis, so please follow our official social media channels such as Twitter and Telegram!
VIMdispenser Tips: To participate in the sale, please ensure that you have linked a compatible VeChainThor wallet to VIMworld (such as Sync, or the VeChainThor mobile wallet) and prepare an appropriate amount of VEED and VTHO.
When the sales have started, you will be able to click on the dispense button on the dispenser machine. Approve the transaction, and if you were faster than other participants, you will be able to get a random VIM from the VIMdispenser!
