The Art of VIMglory: A New Player’s Guide

Introduction

Magessica is missing, and replicant VIMs are causing general mayhem and spreading panic across VIMworld! Our intrepid team of heroes tracked down the signal rippling out from mysterious wormholes cutting through the fabric of the multiverse itself. After a long journey, they finally arrive at the threshold of MossHaven village, when they hear the familiar voice of the Oracle calling them forth. Will you respond to the Oracle’s Call? Will you take on the ultimate challenge of unlocking the secrets, crushing the competition, and winning immortal admiration in the grand arena that is VIMglory?

Gameplay overview

VIMglory is an exciting autobattler game. Each VIM has different stats across many categories, and their own sets of special combat abilities, such as their standard and special attacks/actions. You form a deck of 3, 5, or 10 VIMs to do battle against other teams of VIMs, or pit your heroes against teams of villains and replicants in Story Mode. Once the battle starts, the gameplay is automated, so you can sit back and watch the battle play out. A game takes place over a set number of turns. If neither team is destroyed by the end, then the game ends in a draw.

VIMs in VIMglory are divided into three different classes, which affect their combat performance. The three classes are: Agility, Strength, and Intelligence. This along with each VIM’s unique stats results in a dynamic environment where different match-ups may work well in different situations, and a deck’s combat energy is far from the whole story of the outcome of a match. Experiment with different lineups to find out what works best for a given challenge.

Game modes

At launch, VIMglory offers four different gaming modes, with a fifth one (Cowboy) currently under development. The game modes are:

Arena: Battle against everyone else’s best decks in 3v3, 5v5, and 10v10 modes. The highest ranked decks on the Leaderboard are rewarded at the end of each season.

Story: In VIMglory’s signature single-player experience, journey through 10 different zones to unravel the secrets of the evil replicant VIMs and Magessica’s mysterious disappearance. Story mode is 5v5 format and you’ll fight a wide variety of different enemies. Elite mode is a more challenging version with enhanced rewards.

Duel: In Duel mode, you can set out a deck with a wager of Diamonds attached. If a challenger is able to defeat your deck, then they take the Diamonds. But if your deck wins, you’ll take their Diamonds.

Cowboy: Cowboy mode is still in development.

Boss: Boss mode is only available once you have at least an S2 VIM, and have passed Chapter 6 in Story mode or one of your VIMs is at least level 50. In Boss Mode, everyone competes to deal damage to the Boss and is receives periodic rewards accordingly.

Building a deck

VIMglory decks can consist of 3, 5, or 10 VIMs. You can configure a deck with any combination of VIM classes, different combinations will be more useful in different scenarios. VIM positions will also influence the damage taken during battles, so observe the action and adjust your deck accordingly! Click and drag from your list of VIMs to set your Deck.

VIM classes

VIM classes influence the VIMs’ base stats, and how each base stat affects their effective combat strength. The three classes are: Agility, Strength, and Intelligence. Broadly speaking, these can be classified as defensive, offense (physical) and offense (magical). However each VIM does have its unique strengths and weaknesses, as well as their special abilities.

Synergy

Collecting different combinations of VIMs who share a connection, such as being in the same collection or clan, allows you receive special Synergy bonuses when you include these VIMs in your deck. To activate Synergy, you need to have certain VIMs which are Synergy ‘Leaders’ in your deck. This will grant you level 1 bonus even if you do not have additional members in your collection. To reach higher Synergy, you’ll also need upgraded items for leaders. Information about Synergy bonuses can be found in the Research section.

Upgrading your VIMs and Equipment

Experience points from fighting, or using potions (XP Pills). To raise VIM in-game Levels (Upgrade).

Use in-game coins to raise stats through training (Potential).

Your VIMs have unique powerful abilities called Skills, you need to spend in-game Coins to upgrade these.

Game economy and Store

Diamonds can be purchased in the Store and redeemed for a value of $0.1 per Diamond, in OJEE, ETH, or BNB.

Also in the Store, Diamonds are used to buy Coins, which you can spend to enhance your VIMs, but not to level them up. You can also earn Coins in the Arena and Boss mode rankings as well as by playing Story mode.

Diamonds may also be wagered in Duel mode, by which you can win Diamonds from challengers, or challengers may take your wagered Diamonds. You may wish to engage ‘Protection Mode’ which will prevent opponents from challenging you with Decks that have more than 10% greater combat energy as yours.

In the future, Diamonds will be made redeemable for OJEE, so stack those Diamonds!

Game tickets are needed to play matches across game modes. If you run out and want to keep going you can buy extra from the store. You can also wait one day for a free recharge.

Quests

This section contains various Quests for the player, for which you are rewarded with Coins and material items. These Quests relate to actions in-game and in wider VIMworld. Complete the daily and weekly Quests and check out the Quests section regularly to maximize your chances to earn Coins and upgrades for your VIMs. If you are already a VIM collector, then when you first start the game you are likely to receive a lot of rewards!

Mailbox

The Mailbox is a place where you can receive messages from the VIMglory team. Diamond winnings from Duel matches are also claimed from here.

VIP levels

Your VIP level is determined by your highest tier VIM in VIMworld. The higher the tier, the more VIMglory perks you will earn. Check out the VIP levels section for a full breakdown of the many perks available at each level!

Other special perks

There are three other special perks available related to your activity in VIMworld. “Snack Time” is achieved by feeding your VIM any amount of VOJEE, this will increase it’s HP by 1%. “Round Belly” adds 2% by feeding your full allowance to a VIM. “Beginner’s Luck” gives a 1% boost across all stats to newly purchased VIMs. You can extend these perks by spending Coins.
