VIMglory: Oracle’s Call, an Introduction
Magessica is missing! As the VIMglory prelude story series unfolds, our VIMglory team is gearing up to unleash their game on the world. With mere days to go until VIMglory is playable, this article will help you and your VIMs start to prepare for the event.
What kind of a game is VIMglory?
VIMglory is an action-packed autobattler game with great tactical and strategic depth. Each VIM has different stats across many properties which affect how they perform in battle, and their own repertoires of special abilities. You form a deck of 3, 5, or 10 VIMs to do battle against other teams of VIMs, or pit your heroes against teams of villains and replicants in Story Mode. Once a battle starts, the gameplay is automated, so you can sit back and watch the action play out. Through winning battles you will earn coins and items that will allow you to upgrade your VIMs, their special abilities and their equipment. How you allocate your hard-won XP and Coins will determine your tactical options at higher levels. You can compete in several different game modes against other players’ decks (wager on your team and the winner takes the spoils!), and work on completing in-game and VIMworld spanning quests for precious rewards. Once you have reached a high enough level, you can unlock the ultimate challenge: BOSS mode. Whilst the spills and thrills of VIMglory can be enjoyed on a superficial level, it offers great depth and many strategic possibilities in deck composition and customization.
What do I need to play?
VIMglory is played in your internet browser (e.g. Google Chrome), so it will work best on Mac or PC devices. It is functional and playable on tablet or phone browsers, or through Nufinetes dApp browser, depending on your device, however text sizes will be very small on a phone. You will need to connect your wallet in order to play VIMglory.
You do not NEED to own VIMs to play the game as we will provide some in-game VIMs for you to get started. These in-game VIMs may even be unlocked to be used and owned outside of VIMglory by reaching the highest levels. However, it will be a much better starting experience and make you more competitive in VS modes to bring your own deck of VIMs, which can be from either VIMworld Ascendant (Ethereum) or VIMworld Classic (BNB Smart Chain). You can buy VIMs at either the Store (Ethereum) or Marketplace (BSC). It’s also possible to obtain VIMs through special events on the main VIMworld platform, so keep an eye out for announcements. Hint- for a limited time new players can currently mint a free Arthur VIM!
When can I access the game?
VIMglory is going public within a matter of DAYS. Keep an eye on all of our social media channels for more announcements!
What else can I do to prepare?
The higher the tier of your VIMs, the faster they will gain experience in VIMglory. This means that you’ll be able to complete the Story mode and raise a stronger team with less playing time. But it means that all VIMs have a chance to be great. VIM Treasures all have different properties within the game, and so VIMs with huge collections of Treasures will really stand out in battles. So raise your VIMs as high as possible and collect those Treasures!
VIMs in VIMglory are divided into three different classes, which affect their combat performance. Specifically, these classes influence the VIMs’ base stats, and how each base stat affects their effective combat strength. The three classes are: Agility, Strength, and Intelligence. Broadly speaking, these can be classified respectively as defensive, offense (physical) and offense (magical). However each VIM does have its unique strengths and weaknesses, as well as their special abilities (Skills). Theses are the classes to which the different VIMs belong:
Strength: Taizi, Hoppiua, Diego, Wreckweiler, Thor, Niu Mowang (SE), Pigsy, Niu Mowang, Sha Wujing, San, Armstrong, Briarthorn and Gravelanche.
Agility: Arthur, Garu, Nightdrool, Thaloc, Lt. Gobbles, Knight Sunspear, Archer Florise, Wukong, Erlang Shen, Ao Lie, Hachi, Mushi, Leonard, Borf, Mo, Morticia, Julie, Tsuky, Ghostbeard, GrOwl, Hacky, Bubblez and Sunfeather.
Intelligence: Yumi, Venix, Flamemare, Borealord, Philippe Diamant, Saint Reed, Queen Rosalie, Lady Ophelia, Mage Bella, Bone Maiden, The King, Azi, Oracle, Pinki, Nara, and Magessica, Kiki and Mazemage.
