As designers there’s always one primary element we deal with on a daily basis. Color. Whether you’re a seasoned UI Designer or a graphic illustrator you always need access to some great color inspiration. I have combined 4 of my favorite sources below.

Colors In Perfect Harmony

If you’re like me you love it when you spot a palette of combined colors that just speak to you. When building a UI or combining colors in an illustration it’s always good to have colors that automatically look amazing together. These sites will take the work out of that for you.

ColorHunt (http://www.colorhunt.co)
ColorHunt has palettes upfront and center and makes the hex code for each color accessible on hover. You can sort by popularity and even create your own palette.

ColorHunt sorts by rating and allows you to easily grab the hex codes for each color on hover

ColourLovers (http://www.colourlovers.com)
ColourLovers is a great resource for single colors, patterns, palettes and inspiration from different sources including print, home decor and more.

ColorLovers combines various sources for color inspiration, not just web.

Gradients Are Hot

It’s no doubt that gradients are the in thing right now. Getting combined colors sometimes is a long struggle. You can sit there dragging around in your color spectrum looking for that perfect combo. Good thing these sites do it all for you.

WebGradients.com (https://webgradients.com)
WebGradients gives you everything you need. The ability to download the css, hex codes and the ability to download the swatch in a PNG. Not to mention each gradient is even named to perfection.

Gradients are all the rage, https://webgradients.com has an amazing selection, and they are even named!

UIGradients (http://uigradients.com)
Similar to WebGradients, UIGradients allow you to discover named gradients easily and see them in full-screen. CSS code is also available for each gradient.

Where do you go for color inspiration around the web that fuel your creativity?
