Vinehealth has partnered with Breast Cancer Haven to further support cancer patients in the UK and Ireland. During these unprecedented times, the charity’s invaluable resources and online support are needed now more than ever. From publications to self-help videos and online courses, Breast Cancer Haven has a wealth of support for people living with cancer.
Vinehealth is delighted that this supportive content is now live in their app, allowing more people to access resources, helplines, and support groups. Importantly, Vinehealth will also be providing access to the charity’s Support Line through call, email, or text, giving all sarcoma patients the opportunity to ask any questions, seek advice, or have a conversation with others going through the same journey.
The Vinehealth app allows patients to better track, manage, and understand their care, including their symptoms, side effects, and communication with carers and medical professionals. It also recognises the fundamental importance of a patient’s wellbeing and mental health, especially during the pandemic. Naturally, patients are more anxious due to self-isolation, changes in treatments and being considered high-risk with respect to COVID-19. The platform enables those self-isolating to maintain a crucial link to their clinical team and to self-manage so that they feel more in control. Patients also have access to short courses, breathing & relaxation techniques– all to aid wellbeing and to improve the patient’s experience through their treatment journey and ultimately, outcomes from cancer.
Providing easy access to all relevant information and support services is fundamental in achieving this, particularly in a setting where most cancer patients are having less face-to -face communication and support from healthcare professionals.
This partnership with Breast Cancer Haven is a fundamental step towards further enriching the Vinehealth ecosystem and providing resources for as wide a range of patients as possible. As this continues to grow, so will the emphasis of changing the paradigm of cancer treatment and putting quality of life first.
