UX design is about logic and flow

“Design is not just what it looks and feels like. Design is how it works.” — Steve Jobs

When we think of web or mobile app design we probably think of beautiful buttons, page motion and icons. However design is more than just visual component, but also structure and logic.

Okay, first things first, let us distinguish between UI and UX design. The broad responsibility of a UX designer is to ensure that the product logically flows from one step to the next. One way that a UX designer might do this is by conducting user tests to observe one’s behavior. Unlike UX designers who are concerned with the logic of the product, user interface designers are particular about how the product looks like. They are responsible of designing each screen or page with which a user interacts and making sure that the UI visually communicates the flow that a UX designer has created. Those are who decide when and how error message will appear on your screen.

Good design is crucial for customer acquisition

User tend to choose both structurally effective and visually attractive websites and applications. According to design.co 73% percent of people tend to choose more appealing applications among alternatives. That is why it is wise to think out all the processes before software development. According to designer Nick Babich:“The best products do two things well: features and details. Features are what draw people to your product. Details are what keep them there.”

How well we communicate is determined not by how well we say things, but how well we are understood.” –Andrew Grove

Any design needs the right combination of an excellent user experience with creative and eye catching elements to help increase traffic, retention and ROI. In recent years UI/UX plays a crucial role in user acquisition and retention. If you build something that is easy to use and handle, more people will come to use it. Today a product whether digital or analog gains popularity not only by the way it works but also through the look and feels. Whether that experience is good or bad one, it is going to have a direct impact on the sales. Here comes the importance of UI/UX.

Aizat Zhumatayeva, head of design at Vinnd, is going to tell you how our design team works and what kind of goals we’re trying to achieve in the first quarter of 2018 in her upcoming interview this Saturday.

Our vision on Vinnd’s design is crystal clear. We position ourselves as healthcare and lifestyle startup; hence our design should become part of user’s life same as email app, alarm clock, and messenger. Extremely comprehensive and monochrome style: simplicity through obscurity.
