Lahore-Ahmadis arrange for the Ameer to speak at the Parliament

Following in the footsteps of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s) whose tradition of presenting Islam without being impressed by power and wealth, a tradition revived by the Promised Messiah, members of the UK branch of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat Islam went to the house to speak about Islam. Lord Shahid Aziz of Wansley Manor, President of the UK branch, Dr Zahid Aziz, editor of the English translation of the Holy Quran and The Ameer, Hazrat Dr Abdul Karim Saeed, spoke.

Shahid Aziz put forward the case for our jamaat being a different and distinct one from any other Muslim group and insisted that we stress these distinctions.

Zahid Aziz spoke on Islam being a religion of peace and tolerance.

Hazrat Ameer spoke on the history of propagation by the Ahmadiyya Movement, starting with the letter written by the Promised Messiah to Queen Victoria inviting her to Islam.
