Muslims in some countries make a great show of their affection for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s) by celebrating his birthday with great pomp and ceremony. It seems contradictory to the life style of the Holy Prophet (s) which was simple and free of all show.
Surely, the right thing to do would be to emulate his life style if we want to celebrate his birth. Celebration of the Holy Prophet’s birthday was started by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad but he wanted Muslims to set aside a day to look at objections against Islam and to study and learn answers to these objections.
We also look at what the Holy Quran says in Chapter 25 Verses 7 and 8.
