The Warrior Prophet

The Chairperson of Respect, a political party in the UK, is a Muslim. She was arguing in favour of defence cuts in the UK when the interviewer asked her why she favoured such cuts when the Prophet Muhammad (s) was a warrior prophet. Unable to answer the question this prominent Muslim side-stepped the issue and continued to speak about the cuts themselves. The reason is obvious. Holding, as they do, aggressive, jingoistic views she could not defend Islam and it is left to us to answer these in a this khutba.
