The current status of Visual Reality

Today, visual reality technology already entered people’s sight. In fact. visual reality technology was used in pilot and astronaut training. As times goes, the virtual reality technology is widely used in dozens of critical industries such as urban planning, education, and training, cultural relics protection, medical care, real estate, Internet, exploration and mapping, manufacturing and aerospace.
Based on visual reality using today, the future development direction of visual reality has 3 directions.
1. Dynamic environment modeling technology. The resume of the virtual environment is the core content of VR technology. The purpose of dynamic environment modeling technology is to obtain the 3D data of the actual environment and establish the corresponding virtual environment model according to the needs.
2. Real-time 3D graphics generation and display technology. The technology of 3D graphics generation is relatively mature, and the key is how to “real-time generation”. How to improve the refresh frequency will be an essential research content in the future without reducing the quality and complexity of the graphics. Also, VR also relies on the development of the stereoscopic display and sensor technology. Existing virtual devices are not enough to meet the needs of the system, and it is necessary to develop new three-dimensional graphics generation and display technologies.

3.Development of new human-computer interaction equipment. Virtual reality technology enables people to interact freely in virtual world objects as if they were there. The input and output devices are mainly equipped with helmet displays, data gloves, data clothes, three-dimensional position sensors, and three-dimensional sound generators. However, in practical applications, their effects are not ideal. Therefore, new, cheap, and robust data gloves and data services will become essential directions for future research.
