3 Reasons Why We Love ClickUp — The Web Scientists

Anyone working in the digital world has some experience with a project management software. They come in all shapes and prices depending on what kind of work you do.

When we started our business we were using Asana. It’s probably the most common project management tool out there and it’s great… until you outgrow the free version. When we outgrew the free version we were not yet in a place where we could pay the fees.

At this point, we made the decision to move onto Producteev. This, I’ll admit, was not a great choice. They closed down without notifying their users only a few months later.

In a scramble we then discovered ClickUp and we haven’t looked back at a different project management software since!

That being said, here are the 3 main reasons we love ClickUp for our project management needs:

Reason #1 — ClickUp is free. Do I need to say more?

Clickup has fabulous features that are included in their free plan. They have many of the advanced features of things like Asana without the monthly bill.

They do have a paid version where you are mainly paying for storage.

Reason #2 — Great features, Beautiful display

Have you ever found the perfect software to meet your needs and then noticed how awful it looks? As in you don’t even want to look at it because it gives you creative anxiety?

I have. Many many times! ClickUp has all the features I need in a project management tool and it looks amazing! It’s well organized, nicely thought out, and overall just fantastic.

Reason #3 — Permission settings (that actually work)

When you are a freelancer there are times that you are going to want to bring your client into your project management software. What you absolutely don’t want is to have said client poking around all of your other projects.

ClickUp solves this issue by letting you control who sees which workspace. Now you might say Asana does the same thing… certain people in each workspace, but the main difference is for you. You’re still able to create one main tasklist for all your projects across all of your workspaces.
