Thrive
My word for 2022
They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit in each season.Their leaves will never wither and they prosper in all they do.
Psalm 1:3 (NLT)
I’ve been wrestling with my One Word for 2022 for several days.
I thought I had settled on Joy . But the word felt hollow.
Moments of joy have been fleeting.
For many of the past days , I didn’t even know what joy would look like.
There were peaceful moments but the endless news cycle raises anxiety quickly.
My word of 2021 was FOCUS. Truth be told, I was unfocused for much of the year. I drifted from one project to another; from one book to another .
Beginning but never completing . I had lost my sense of purpose , of belonging, of routine and of relationships .
Surviving but not thriving .
Life was muted.
Colourless
Even winter was gray, instead of white and crisp.
But Christmas Eve and Christmas Day brought quiet joy.
There is new hope in this season
Our family is not just surviving, they are thriving .
