LOS ANGELES, CA & LONDON, UK — 14 DECEMBER 2020 — Terra Virtua Ltd, the world’s first fully immersive, interactive, online, PC and mobile collectibles platform, announced today an exciting new line of digital collectibles based on Legendary Entertainment’s action-packed blockbuster Pacific Rim Uprising. Fans will be able to bring their favorite Jaegers, the human-piloted super-machines, as well as the monstrous Kaiju, to life through these exclusive 3D virtual assets, available on the Terra Virtua app starting December 10, 2020. Once purchased, these unique collectibles, secured using blockchain technology to ensure authenticity, will live in the user’s personal showroom called the ‘Terra Dome,’ which is accessible through the app, and can be shared, traded, played and enjoyed with friends and other fans.

The collaboration between Terra Virtua and Legendary first began in 2019 with the launch of digital collectibles based on Legendary’s Lost in Space, the smash hit reboot of the science fiction classic. A number of digital collectibles featuring the Robinson family, Don West, Dr. Smith and the iconic Robot from both Season One and Season Two of the hit Netflix Original Series are already available, with Terra Virtua gearing up to release additional collectibles to fans.

“The world is changing at an exponential rate, especially when it comes to digital technology,” said Sam Rappaport, Director of Interactive Media at Legendary. “We’ve seen a real interest from fans wanting to interact with their favourite characters from our films and television shows on a much deeper level, so we are thrilled to expand upon our collaboration with Terra Virtua.”

“We’re currently finalising the collection and feel the assets we’re bringing to life through 3D animation for fans to experience in both 3D and AR, and later on in VR, is going to be unmissable,” said Gary Bracey, CEO of Terra Virtua. “Our guys have really enjoyed working with the Legendary team on both Lost in Space and Pacific Rim, but there’s real excitement in the air around the amazing characters in Pacific Rim.”

“Unlike ownership of physical merchandise, these digital collectibles allow fans to interact and share them with friends, family and other enthusiasts in a way never experienced before. To be working with the pioneers in the industry is truly exciting,” continued Rappaport.

“With our technology fans no longer need to imagine what it would be like to stand next to a Jaegar; they can actually stand next to all 250 feet of Gypsy Avenger in their personal Terra Dome. Now that’s pretty cool,” concluded Gary Bracey.

Terra Virtua (www.terravirtua.io), with global headquarters in London, England, has evolved the digital collectible market from simply collecting virtual items to completing and showcasing collections through new, interactive and immersive experiences.
