In the 20th episode of the Dev Update, guests Anis and Daniel discussed upcoming releases and developments. They provided insights into new features and projects that will be available in the near future.

Anis introduced a groundbreaking concept in console gaming that incorporates blockchain technology. He explained how this integration of blockchain brings unique advantages to the gaming experience. He also dedicated some words to Conference Pocket Gamer in Dubai and what was about.

About Pocket Gamer: This June 21st to 22nd, the Pocket Gamer Connects team are partnering with the Dubai Economy & Tourism department (DET) to bring the global games industry an unmissable conference experience in the glorious city of Dubai, part of the fastest growing region of the international games industry. The GameExpo Summit powered by PG Connects will take place over two days alongside the larger GameExpo event at the incredible hub of sustainability and innovation, Expo City Dubai. The summit itself will feature more than 100 renowned games industry speakers from all over the globe delivering insightful talks, panels and seminars across a number of themed tracks. You can expect discussions on pressing topics facing the games industry such as new technologies from the metaverse, AI and Web3 to the latest techniques and trends in development and monetisation, as well as the unprecedented growth of the MENA market.

In the later part of the episode, Daniel joined the discussion on the Devs Update and shared details about the upcoming developments related to Jetpack Hyperleague. The team’s current focus for the game is primarily on addressing bugs and improving overall performance and balance. Daniel mentioned that an update, which the team has been working on, is scheduled to be released on Monday, June 26th.

The developers of Jetpack Hyperleague are also working on enhancing the game’s music. They are adding more music tracks to further enhance the gaming experience. By incorporating new music into the game, players will have a more immersive and engaging audio environment. As part of the ongoing updates to Jetpack Hyperleague, the developers are implementing separate settings for music and sound. This means that players will have the ability to customize their audio experience by enabling or disabling the music and sound effects independently. By providing these separate settings, players can have more control over their in-game audio preferences and tailor the game’s sound elements to their liking.

Team is also putting together patch notes that will allow users to preview and understand the upcoming changes and additions to the game. Patch notes provide a detailed summary of the modifications, improvements, and new features that will be implemented in the new version. By making these patch notes available, players will have the opportunity to review and anticipate what to expect in the upcoming release “Version 1.1”.

Additionally, tournament modes will be introduced in version 2. This means that players will have the opportunity to participate in competitive gameplay and engage in structured tournaments within the game. Tournament modes often involve organized matches, leaderboards, and rewards for top-performing players. This addition aims to enhance the competitive aspect of Jetpack Hyperleague and offer players a more engaging and challenging experience.

The estimated release timeframe for version 2, including the mobile app releases and tournament modes, is expected to be around mid-July. However, please note that release dates and features are subject to change based on the development progress and other factors.

That is all for this episode of the weekly dev update! We hope you enjoyed and give Virtua Central a listen on Spotify and Apple Podcasts!
