While there’s been a whole bunch of positives, there’s also been a few problems! We had a bit of launch day lag due to the sheer load of players wanting to try out the game, we’ve made some optimisations and upped server capacities to accommodate for the new traffic load and player behaviours.

We also have had some quite significant issues with our patching system. Which caused multiple large patches to be generated during the first few days of the release. This has a number of different factors and we’re actively working to bring the game and patch size down.

With this release, we’ve completely overhauled our packing strategy and reduced the final size of the client by 6GB! The downside is that due to the nature of the changes — there’ll be a significant update size as the result of this patch, but the positive is that subsequent patches will be much smaller. If you are on a limited data connection or generally have low connection speeds we’d recommend a full uninstall and reinstall of the game to avoid any issues with this patch.
