As per a joint WHO/UNICEF study,Haiti is among of the most under-served countries when it comes access to basic sanitation and clean water.
Only 69% of the population has access to an improved water source, and 17% had access to improved sanitation facilities in 2010
Even before the COVID-19 outbreak, people lack basic access to a clean water source with no access to safe sanitation.
Therefore, Ensuring access to clean water, safe sanitation, and good hygiene to the general public is fundamental to containing COVID-19 and preventing the outbreak.Vision Help Foundation donated buckets, water, and hand soaps, to the Haitian people. Buckets were placed in public places where there is no access to running so that each individual can use.
