Keep Calm and Pack a Perfect Carry-On
By Marisa Reinhart, Visionair Luggage Summer Intern
It’s officially summer, and that means it is time to travel! Survive the airport and your flight with our essential travel tips below.

First, you need your carry-on luggage. Need to be at the airport by 5:30am? Then you need the Beverage Pal. You’ll be able to tote your double shot of espresso hands free through the terminal. Or, do you have a three hour layover? Then we’ll hook you up with the Pod Pal. Binge watch your favorite series with the convenient iPad stand built in while you wait for your flight. You’ll be on your way in no time!
Now that you have your luggage, you will need to pack your in-flight essentials. There are a few necessities everyone should take in their carry-on including his or her passport, cash, credit cards, chargers/adaptors and itinerary. Also, a general rule of thumb is that you should pack anything that you cannot live without in your carry-on, in case your checked luggage is misplaced. This can include jewelry, glasses, essential medications, or sentimental belongings.
The people behind Visionair Luggage have been around the world and back, so we like to believe we have our carry-ons packed perfectly. Check out our list below for what we always have in our carry-ons, just in case!

- A Change of Clothes- It’s every traveler’s nightmare to lose their luggage. Just in case, we always pack an extra set of foldable and wrinkle-resistant clothes in our carry-on. Don’t forget a pair of socks and underwear!
- Sleep Essentials- If you want to rest a bit on your flight, noise reducing headphones, earplugs, or a sleeping mask might be necessary!
- Hydration Station- The air on flights can be extra drying. That’s why I always carry a TSA approved moisturizer and lip balm. Remember to stay hydrated on your flight as well.
- Antibacterial Wipes- No one wants to be stuck in a sticky situation in the air. Make sure to pack some disinfectant.
- Mini Toiletry Bag- I like to bring a small pouch with some makeup wipes and makeup to touch up my face when I land. This is especially important if you have to go straight to a meeting from the airport.
- Entertainment- If you didn’t finish your episode you were watching on your Podpal earlier, make sure you have an engrossing book or tablet to keep you entertained.
- A Blanket Scarf- This type of scarf can double as an accessory and a blanket. It’s perfect for travel.
