Cryptograffiti is an American street artist who’s work is focused on Cryptocurrency and Blockchain. Cryptograffiti’s work explores the benefits of Cryptocurrencies vs. the status quo and the possibilities of blending the digital Blockchain with physical art. The handy artist uses his art to demonstrate Bitcoin’s disruption potential and to show his disdain for the banking industry. So as you can imagine banks play a large role in Cryptograffiti’s street art; his Instagram & Twitter are both filled with photos of his Bitcoin messages posted on ATMs and on bank walls.

Early in his career, Cryptograffiti was the first artist to utilize a public-facing wallet to receive crypto donations for street art. Upon discovering his work, passersby sent Bitcoin in support of the art. His current work is comprised of tangible materials from industries being disrupted by the Blockchain.

Cryptograffiti’s work has been featured in Bitcoin Magazine, Forbes and International Business Times just to name a few, and can be found in the collections of numerous prominent figures within the Bitcoin community. Cryptograffiti is super excited at how Bitcoin will transform the art world and to play a role in leading this new direction.

The above artwork was featured in an article about Mr Nakamoto in Bitcoin Magazine covering the inside story of how the hunt for Satoshi Nakamoto turned Dorian’s life upside down. Created by pseudonymous artist and Bitcoin enthusiast Cryptograffiti, the artwork features Mr. Nakamoto’s face made from pieces of destroyed credit cards including the signature strip of Mr Nakamoto’s own card. This was a charity auction with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Dorian Nakamoto.
