2021 Sundance Film Festival Award Winners Announced

And the winners are…

Let’s not kid ourselves, anyone who has their film selected and showcased at The Sundance Film Festival is already a winner, however, there still has to be formalities involved. The annual award ceremony is one of them.

Actor and comedian Patton Oswalt hosted and 2021 Sundance Award ceremony. See the virtual event here.

“It has been a privilege to help this work meet new audiences and enter the culture with such fanfare, especially now, when breaking through the noise is harder than ever.”-TABITHA JACKSON, SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL DIRECTOR

Siân Heder’s CODA was awarded the U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic, and Questlove’s Summer Of Soul (…Or, When The Revolution Could Not Be Televised) took home the U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Documentary. (Both films also took home their respective audience awards!)

Top jury prizes in our World Cinema Competition went to Jonas Poher Rasmussen’s documentary Flee and Blerta Basholli’s feature Hive (another audience award winner).
