On March 21 of 2020, Saturn entered Aquarius for the first time after 30 years and will march through Aquarius during the next 3 years. Saturn is the planet of duty, boundaries, conservatism, and discipline, and it is now in the house of future, change, innovation and progress. Saturn in Aquarius represents a time of slow but long-term changes in society, integrating the values of justice, law and order.

Saturn and the Corona-Virus

Saturn in Aquarius makes us revaluate our social structures and how we deal with them. Sometimes, the Saturnian tendencies of fear of change and the unknown, control, and inhibition can lead to loneliness and isolation. With the expansion of the Corona-Virus since January this year, society has been facing a time of limitation in social participation and activities, making us take responsibility for the safety of others, and acknowledge the importance of cooperation.

One of Saturn’s habits is to constrain us from something, to make us realize its value, so although it describes a difficult time of limitation, fear, and isolation, it also represents a moment of maturation and inner growth.

Saturn square Uranus (January 2021 — December 2022)

Saturn in Aquarius slowly makes its way to a square to Uranus in Taurus, but its effects will be felt the strongest at the beginning of the next year. During this time, we will question the boundaries we erect in our lives and the ones that are imposed on us, beginning a process of restructuring them. It represents a phase of fast and unexpected changes, crushing overcontrolled situations and resisting the slow and careful approach natural to Saturn.

In Final words, Saturn in Aquarius can describe a period of difficulties, disappointments, unwanted change, discipline, and effort. Saturn makes us deal with our responsibilities and work on what is important. But it also represents a time of innovative strategizing, revaluating our social circles, expanding barriers, personal and collective growth, and humanitarian progress.
