YOU’RE ENGAGED! The first few days immediately following the proposal is going to feel like Heaven on Earth. And then to some, the next few months of planning and preparing are going to feel like absolute hell.

Prioritizing your list of to-dos before saying “I do” will make things a bit easier. Let us help. You’ve locked down your special someone, now it’s time to lock down that perfect venue.

Charlotte and the surrounding areas have a lot to offer in the way of venue variety. Choosing the right one can be overwhelming. This blog post is going to take some of the most popular venues in the area, shine a light on them and get down to business on some heavy venue profiling.

Ritchie Hill

This beautiful southern estate is located in Concord’s Historic District, just a short drive away from the vibrant city of Charlotte. The house’s grandiose appearance is made up of Victorian architecture with modern finishes. It’s sort of like walking into Tara from Gone With the Wind, but better. The venue offers several indoor and outdoor spaces to utilize for ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions. Picture this. Long farm tables lining the wrap-around front porch with chairs along either side creating an intimate reception ambiance with a sweet, southern flare. If your vision has a polished, elegant and old-timey feel, this is the venue for you!

Champagne Manor

Being at the Champagne Manor makes you feel like you’re in another country where everyone is rich and everything is beautiful. In actuality, it is located in Monroe, way out in the middle of nowhere making it even more of a top-secret, special location. Though the house is currently lived in (it’s not as weird as it sounds), the entire bottom floor is open and available for use of bridal parties, before, during and after the wedding. This venue comes complete with a small pond behind the house and a tiny, white canoe that you can sail off in with your newly-wed partner. What more could you ask for?

Carrigan Farms

Carrigan Farms is a popular location for year round festivities but it is especially beautiful as a back drop for a wedding. Located in Mooresville, this venue also has the ability to make you feel like you’re miles away from the bustling city of Charlotte. This outdoor venue offers a gorgeous view of the rock quarry where guests are invited to swim in the summer and where haunted trails come to life in the fall. Carrigan Farms is for all the adventure loving, outdoorsy couples out there who want their wedding day to truly reflect their unique personalities. Think Viking. Think mountains meets lake meets a Bob Ross painting. Pretty cool, huh?

Byrons South End

Byron’s South End is probably the most trendy venue in Charlotte in 2019. With its location right in the heart of South End Charlotte, it is surrounded by so many artsy, creative photo opportunities and several after party locations. The ceremony and reception spaces are separated and are not always used together, so this is a great venue for couples who want their ceremony to take place at a local church or different venue. The chandeliers create a modern look and the wide open space allows a variety of floor layouts. Plus, you can scooter out of there on a Lime bike. Talk about a cool exit.

The Terrace at Cedar Hill

The Terrace at Cedar Hill is the epitome of everything a native Charlottean, city dwelling, Panther loving couple could want. With a gorgeous view of the Charlotte skyline and the Bank of America stadium, The Terrace at Cedar Hill is where night-life explodes. Though ceremonies do not typically take place at this venue, The Terrace is another great option of a venue perfect for hosting your reception party. It’s classy, it’s high-end, it’s as close to feeling like a scene from Gossip Girl as Charlotte will ever get. You know you love it. XOXO.
