Gastronomic experience in a restaurant with Michelin star

We all like to eat well and we do not think we are very daring if we say that we would all love, at least once in our life, to try some famous restaurant and, why not, with a Michelin Star.

As passionate about the good food that we are, we have gone to try the Michelin Star cuisine in the restaurant Roca Moo, headed by chef Juan Pretel, located in Hotel Omm, a recognized Hotel in Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona. In this post we will tell you our gastronomic experience with all the juicy details.

We wanted to discover if it’s true that you can feels the essence of the Roca brothers in Roca Moo dishes, that’s why we chose Roca Moo among the many Michelin Star restaurants in Barcelona.

El Celler de Can Roca are the Roca Moo’s consultants, that’s why is it said that Roca Moo are the ambassadors in Celler de Can Roca in Barcelona.

As we have already mentioned, Roca Moo is located on the luxurious 5 star hotel Omm. The space of the restaurant is beautiful, with an open kitchen where if you sit at the bar you will be able to see the culinary spectacle of chef Juan Pretel.

The menus of Roca Moo and its cuisine tasting

The restaurant Roca Moo offers different menus with wine pairing. We say different because these change depending on the time of year, because they always use seasonal and first quality products. The two available menus are the Joan Roca Menu and the Classic Menu.

Inform you that both menus will only be served for the whole table, so that you are already convinced that you want to taste that day.

For starters, the team at Roca Moo delighted us with peas with smoked eel. Very fine peas, filaments and eel with a lot of flavour. The service at Roca Moo was excellent, really knowledged staff, they really know of product. They were always giving a proper explanation of every dish. Then, we continue with a golden egg and also with a Delicious comté soup with lobster.

As the dishes were arriving, we were getting more and more encouraged and exciting with the different flavours, the Mediterranean sole, cod “escudella” and to finish the meat,veal shank and suckling lamb with Idiazabal mozzarella.

All this dishes, paired with their respective wine, here you have the list of each dish and wines that harmonize with them. A whole experience for the senses, going to Roca Moo means giving free will to discover textures, flavors and different ways to treat the product.
