Introducing Gamma: An organization dedicated to funding ‘Active LP’ strategies and research
With the shift from Passive LP’s to Active LP’s, comes the opportunity for a wide range of strategies that must be researched, designed and implemented. Thanks to Uniswap v3, there exist many more variables beyond pool selection, entry and exit times. And the strategies that emerge will start to resemble algorithmic trading strategies. This is why we have decided to create and fund an Active LP strategy research organization.
Today, we are announcing a new organization (Gamma) that will fund the research and implementation of ‘Active Liquidity Provider’ strategies. Through Gamma, Visor will have the proper data science and financial modeling resources necessary to implement the most attractive Active LP strategies available, to vault owners.
We have decided on the Active LP strategy for our first set of Uniswap Supervisors. However, we are seeking to expand beyond this scope and introduce even more complex and competitive strategies. For this goal, we are seeking to engage additional data scientists. If you have relevant expertise in Python and Pandas we are interested in receiving your applications.
Visor is funding Gamma with an initial $500,000 to start operations and award grantees for Active LP strategy research immediately. The total $500,000 will be distributed in amounts from $1,000 to $15,000 and paid directly after an application is approved. Applications will be accepted here and grants will be announced as they are awarded.
In addition to the initial grants, Gamma will be hosting competitions on Kaggle and DrivenData platforms in the coming weeks.
We are excited to introduce Gamma as the strategy research foundation that will allow Visor to continuously introduce new hypervisors, in order to offer the most attractive Active LP strategies to vault owners.
