A Kick or Treat Halloween

The H Taekwondo Gym celebrated Halloween last Saturday, 29 October 2022 with a speed-kicking competition among its students at the Seven Seas Waterpark in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro. The event was unique in several ways. First, the event was not solely or exclusively a competition event but also a get-together for the students comprising the H Taekwondo family to celebrate Halloween together. Second, the speed kicking was done by competitors in their Halloween costumes instead of the official Taekwondo uniform called “Dobok”.

Aside from the main event, which is the speed-kicking contest, where winners received medals and other prizes, the Halloween costumes worn by the students were also judged according to creativity, originality or uniqueness, funniest, and best character. A panel of judges was organized among selected parents in attendance.

There was free ice cream for everyone, and all students went home with a party loot bag. Overall, the event was a success, and everyone did enjoy the Saturday Halloween get-together engaging in an activity they all love doing — Taekwondo.
