As mentioned earlier, wedding events offer lots of opportunities to explore different photo styles, for which a photographer must have a full-frame DSLR or mirrorless system. The variations in the locations and styles might require changing your camera at a moment’s notice.

Having cameras that can capture sport and portrait is equally essential for a wedding photoshoot. Better performance in low light, fast autofocus, variety of lenses compatible with the brand and the body are vital features required while capturing wedding photos.

Camera Settings:

One of the important elements of photography is mastering the camera settings. Exposure plays a great role in taking a great picture that is achieved through an aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. When combined, these three settings control the amount of light reaching the sensor. Finding the appropriate balance of these settings before clicking a picture provides exceptional photographs.

Appropriate Lens:

No matter what photography genre you adopt, picking the right lens is essential for getting perfect and sharp images. The role of the lens is to configure the picture’s quality and intensify the desired effect. Before taking any shot, ensure the lenses are clean. Cleaning lenses from inside might cause damage to them. Different lenses are used on various occasions.

Zoom Lens or Prime Lens:

The selection of lens depends on what and where are you shooting. A Prime lens has a fixed focal length, whereas a lens that has a variable range of focal length is a Zoom Lens.

Using the prime lenses, you have to move back and forth with the camera to view your subject. With a Zoom lens you can stand in one position and its focal length will keep marking the distance.

Automatic Mode:

For a beginner, it is tricky to understand all the manual settings and use them adequately. The best part is, whether it is dim or too bright, auto mode always works as it adjusts the settings accordingly, making it easy for the photographer to focus on the subject.

Auto mode is a learning tool for amateur photographers. It will assist you to manage manual settings better for later use.
