Development Updates

Vinufolio (Wallet)

The Vinufolio app is now live on Android (Play Store)! (Apple coming soon)

Vinufolio is a multi-chain, non-custodial wallet. This means you own the private keys to your crypto across many different chains.

It includes an in-built browser which can automatically connect your wallet to DEXs for direct trading.

Right now the Vinufolio wallet supports most EVM chains including BSC, ETH, and Polygon. Unlike Metamask & Trust Wallet, Vinufolio will also support the Vite chain (which is currently being worked on with an expected release date of end December).

The Vinufolio wallet will act as a gateway to the Vinuverse.

It will be your decentralized hub to manage your funds and collectibles whilst giving you built-in easy access to other VINU Dapps such as VinuSwap and VinuPay.

VinuPay (Payments)

Development continues on VinuPay, with more additions to the website & the successful integration of ViteConnect.

Work on VinuPay documentation and its Dapp format are in progress.

VinuPay should be released in December or January.

VinuSwap (DEX)

VinuSwap continues to inch closer to its much-anticipated release. Below we will outline what is ready, what is still in progress, and when you should be able to try it for yourself.

Design Phase 1

Our first step in the development of VinuSwap was Design Phase 1. This involved creating both the backend of the Swap (trading) function and the frontend foundations for the whole website.

This was completed during September & October, and is the Minimum Viable Product (MVP). We could release just this, but as you’ll shortly see it is much better we complete the proceeding phases rather than release this only to re-vamp it shortly after.

It was originally estimated that Design Phase I would only take one month to complete. Unfortunately, we were met with many roadblocks on the coding side (specifically, limitations to do with the Vite chain) which prolonged its development an additional month.

Earn (Staking)

Once Design Phase I was complete, the next feature to be added was Earn (Staking).

Currently, there is no application on the Vite chain which hosts both Trading & Staking in the same interface. We expect everyone will use VinuSwap as their all-in-one DEX on the Vite chain.

The Earn (Staking) function was completed during October and November.

Design Phase II

Design Phase II is a frontend/UI transformation from the preview pictures you have seen so far into something cleaner, simpler, and brand new.

The MVP we had built so far is ‘good enough’. But we are not building ‘good enough’, we are building the #1 DEX to ever be built on the Vite chain. The place anyone who enjoys DAG technology will want to go to first.

Design Phase II is currently in progress, and began in November.

The previews above (which now includes dark & light modes) are merely initial drafts. There are still many changes to be made over the month.

We expect these frontend updates to be pushed into the final product by the end of December.

Automatic Burn Mechanism

One of the ways VinuSwap will add additional utility to the VINU token is by automatically burning a portion of its Swap fees (i.e. by automatically burning VINU). The greater the daily volume on VinuSwap, the greater the daily VINU burned.

Automatic burns was added to VinuSwap in November.

VinuSwap Fees

You may be wondering then what the rest of the Swap fees will be. As of November, the indicative Swap Fees for VinuSwap are:

This is very competitive when compared to other DEXs, and positions us as the cheapest whilst still offering the largest LP rewards:

Uniswap: 0.30%
Quickswap: 0.30%
Babydogeswap: 0.30%
Pancakeswap: 0.25%
VinuSwap: 0.25%

Discounts for VINU Holders

As teased above, VINU holders will be eligible for discounts of up to 75%!

The discount tiers are as follows:

This means if you were to qualify for the 75% discount, your total Swap fee would only be 0.06% (the lowest in the market!).

We have run into a limitation on Vite chain causing a delay to this function. Vite contracts do not have a function to query wallet balances. This means we can’t just check your balance to determine if you qualify for a Discount. Instead, we must create a special staking contract where the user will stake the required amount of VINU as proof that they hold the required balance in order to receive the discount. The user may also withdraw their staked VINU at anytime, upon which they will of course lose their discount.

So when will VinuSwap actually launch?

The last things being worked on before we can launch VinuSwap are Design Phase II & Discounts for VINU Holders. Both are expected to be completed during December.

Once they’re completed, the only thing left to do is run VinuSwap on Testnet making sure everything runs as expected, and then we can push it to Mainnet for public release.

So the current estimate is end of December, pending these items.
