VINU’s Hotbit AMA: A Summary

Hey VINUSQUAD! Many of you have been asking about how the AMA with Hotbit went — so here’s a recap of the questions and responses. As always, let us know (via any of our social media platforms) if you have any questions or suggestions. VINU promises to be transparent and accountable in our communications.

1. What is Vita Inu (VINU)?

VINU is the world’s first zero-fee dog coin with smart contracts and light-speed transactions.
Soon to be everyone’s favourite blue pupper, VINU is built on the powerful Vite DAG chain, making VINU fast, feeless, highly scalable and green.
The Vite DAG ecosystem also has numerous other advantages — it bridges various cryptocurrencies (including BTC and ETH), and allows them to be transferred or traded within the Vite ecosystem both quickly and without fees.
VINU builds upon the Vite platform, and makes it fun to enter and engage with the Vinuverse (ecosystem). Everyone loves a good dog meme, and this fun project is both a great entry point for crypto novices and highly scalable for advanced users.

2. How is VINU different from other meme coins?

There are several key technological differences which make VINU the best meme coin on the market.
First, VINU boasts transaction speeds of less than 1 second, thanks to the Vite network. This stands in contrast to other dog based tokens that take a long time for transfers to succeed.
Second, transferring VINU is free — there are no transaction fees, unlike many other coins/tokens.
Third, the energy consumption of VINU is a fraction of what other tokens require, again thanks to the Vite network.

3. Tell us a bit about the team at VINU?

The VINU team is made up of respected community leaders within the Vite ecosystem, who have already built other successful projects such as Vitamin Coin & ViNo Gateways.
Part of the reason VINU has grown so strong already is due to the high credibility of our team, who are already familiar to users of the Vite ecosystem.
The VINU team is currently 16 members strong, with more to be added shortly.
Each team member covers a different aspect of the work required to grow the project. VINU has all bases covered.

4. How much of the token supply do team members hold?

As per the VINU whitepaper, the team is entitled to up to 25% of the VINU supply as remuneration for their work, split into monthly unlocks and a bonus unlock every 6 months.
Only 4% of the VINU supply has been unlocked so far for the team.
This distribution plan ensures that the VINU team does not hold such a large supply of the tokens at any one point, that they are able to dump the price.

5. What is the circulating supply and max supply?

Max supply: 1 Quadrillion VINU (reducing as VINU gets burned)
Circulating supply: 160T (16%)

6. Will there be any inflation?

No, there will not be any inflation. This is because all possible VINU tokens have already been minted.
In fact, the supply of VINU will only reduce from this point on, as burns & buybacks begin.

7. Are there any plans for token burns?

Yes we do have plans for token burns. In fact the whitepaper has already specified that at least 20% of the VINU supply will be burned each month.
The VINU burn program’s start date will be sometime in Q1 of 2022
In fact, an “informal” burn has already begun. VINU recently won a Twitter poll (organised by @vite_news). As part of winning this poll, @vite_news will be buying and burning VINU for a week, in addition to promoting VINU on its platform. They are currently on Day 3 of their buy and burn programme; there are 4 more days to go.

8. What is VINU’s roadmap for the next year?

But in the meantime, let me describe what we have:
Q4, 2021: SBP voter rewards programme + SBP sponsorship application (a VITE chain feature).
Q1, 2022: staking program; burn program; NFT series; DAO governance platform; 3rd exchange listing (in the PAWPRINT, we aimed to have our 2nd listing by this quarter. But we are ahead of schedule)
Q2, 2022: VINUSwap; new rewards token launch; merchandise shop; 4th exchange listing
Q3, 2022: VINU buyback programme; 5th exchange listing
Q4, 2022: Continued development; potentially 6th exchange listing

9. Why buy VINU instead of SHIB or DOGE?

Simply put, it’s just better.
We found a gap in the meme market — which was missing a proper dog coin that can actually be used as currency.
Thanks to the Vite network, VINU is both FEELESS and INSTANT. This is not the case with SHIB or DOGE, where you have to pay fees, and still have to wait for your funds to arrive.
VinuSwap will also leverage the Vite network to be a much cheaper and faster DApp for anyone to use.

2. Is there any particular region of the world that you are focusing on? There are many people in Southeast Asia who may be interested in VINU.

VINU is borderless, and our team is already spread across the globe.
As you allude to, Southeast Asia is definitely a key market we see VINU playing a major role in.

3. Do you have a whitepaper? If yes, please share it with us. Secondly, are you working to audit your project, to make its security more secure and reliable?

We have a white paper that you can find on our website (https://vitainu.org/) in multiple languages — with more to come.
Regarding an audit, we are currently in talks with a top-level legal firm in Europe to fulfill audit requirements for exchanges and the project’s transparency, stability, and security.

4. What is your strongest advantage that you think will make your team and project be leaders in the market?

We have a team of absolute professionals working with us. They have been involved in both in the crypto-sphere with reputable and ongoing projects for years and in the traditional tech-sector with educational backgrounds from top tier universities across the globe.

5. My question is about your long term marketing plans. How, or through which big partnerships, do you plan on utilising to pass your product onto the normal — especially non-crypto people?

We can’t really disclose future partnerships or listings. However, I can tell you that we have big plans in store for VINU and we are currently in talks with different groups.

6. Can you list the features that your project has, and other similar projects don’t? And can you convince me to invest in your project as compared to others which are similar to yours?

Dogecoin and Shiba really try to lean into the currency narrative. But the problem is that they can’t and most likely never will be able to:
1. Scale to the point of mass adoption
2. Or even be able to lower fees and latency enough to compete with legacy financial systems.
VINU is already instant and feeless. Scaling on DAG is already vastly superior to what Shiba and Doge offer.

7. Are you planning to promote your project in countries where English is not the primary language, so that they can better understand your project?

Yes, definitely. As we’ve said, VINU is a global project. You may have noticed that our whitepaper is already translated to Chinese. We are also arranging for more translations to be done. This shows our commitment to make VINU accessible to the global community, rather than only the English-speaking world

8. Thanks for this interesting project. Can you tell us more about the overall distribution plan of your token? For example, how much % of the token supply is reserved for Dev funds? Where should I look if I want to find out more?

Here is the overall distribution plan of the token.
-25% will be reserved for free public distribution. This will be given away freely at our community events.
-25% will be reserved for the team, as stated earlier.
-The remaining 50% will be reserved for the Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO). This is further broken down into (i) monthly burns, (ii) marketing, (iii) growth and development, and (iv) other projects depending on the needs of VINU and upon voting by the DAO members.

9. How important is the community to your project? How can we collaborate or help to share information about VINU, for the development of the project?

Community is one of the most important things to VINU! As you may already know, we have a lot of members on various social media platforms — Twitter, Discord, Instagram, and so on.
As with any meme token, community is the backbone of the project. We would love for people to contribute to our project. You can do so by joining our various social media platforms — especially Twitter and Discord. You can also help by sharing news and information about VINU to people you know! Getting more people on board will be very helpful for the project at this point.
