How I Finally Stopped Tippexing My Life and Rewrote the Code Instead
Because real success starts with a new identity
I used to wonder why I kept hitting the same wall over and over again.
Despite the self-help books, the vision boards, the colour-coded to-do lists, the carefully curated morning routine, something still wasn’t clicking. I’d have short bursts of success, little wins here and there, but they never stuck. I’d backslide, doubt myself, or start overthinking everything.
At one point, I genuinely thought I was just lazy. Or broken. Or maybe cursed? (I didn’t rule it out.)
But the truth is far less dramatic and far more freeing. I wasn’t broken. I was just working with the wrong part of the system.
The Day I Realised I Was Tippexing My Life
This will sound random, but I still remember a story from years ago, when offices were just starting to use computers. One of the older employees noticed a typo on a printed report. And what did she do?
She reached for the Tipp-Ex.
Yep. She tried to correct the error on the printout. Not on the screen. Not in the document. On the paper.
