Travelling: Because soul needs some music too.

On a Saturday morning, while having my tea, I look outside of a hotel window. I see clouds touching mountain peaks, trees shedding water droplets. And I see this beautiful morning from my hotel room in Shillong. And seeing this alluring sight I think about the morning the next day. Knock Knock! Reality check.
On a vacation you never think about what is it going to be when this ends. Well, if you do, you shouldn’t. As they say, live in the present. Because the next day is full of competition, plenty of professional talks about work or kids going back to their schedules. We live in a world full of vie. We fight, we win, we breathe and then we fight again, but when do we live? I don’t blame the system. Its who we are. We want to earn so much, that we can travel non-stop after our retirement or get settled in some place which is covered by mountains. But what we do instead is, we earn money and forget to spend it, on living our lives.
Travelling is meditation. Some like to call it a break. A break from work, a break from daily schedule, a break from regular life. But do we enjoy that break? We as a generation are trend setters. We generate trends and like to show them off on social media. And why not!
I like to talk to different people and understand their perspective towards things. So I talked to a few people about the way they like to travel. Responses made me smile.
A group of teenagers said, that they like to go to places and upload pictures of that place, they like the attention they get. Another group of people said that they like to travel alone. They like being solo travelers as they get to spend time on themselves and explore different places and cultures. Others on the other hand said that they switch off the social connection from the world for a few days and rejuvenate themselves and blank their minds.

Whatever their travelling way is, it makes them happy. It is an escape from their daily lives and a way to live an adventure even if it is meant for a day. There was one common answer to my question that I asked them, which was that “travel is happiness.”
So go on, pack your bags and see where life takes you. Getting lost is not that bad after all.
Bon voyage!
