Key Events

  • February 8: VITE was listed on Upbit. Upbit is one of Korea’s largest digital currency exchanges. It is launched by Korean Fintech company Dunamu and the American exchange Bittrex. Upbit currently supports more than 200 trading pairs including KRW (fiat) trading pairs.
  • February 12: Vite Store’s International version was officially launched. Vite users from all over the world can also purchase merchandise with VCP.

System Development

go-vite

  • The development of smart contract tools, based on vscode development Solidity++ plug-in, is expected to release next week.
  • The gvite node hash calculation logic was optimized to improve the overall robustness of gvite and to solve the identification of network anomaly data. A hard fork will be required for the entire network. It is expected that a new version of go-vite will be released at the end of February.
  • The supernoded connectivity monitoring was developed to detect the interconnection and interoperability of supernodes.

Vite APP

  • iOS version 1.4.0 went live. iOS wallet will now support ETH and GRIN. The airdrop anti-cheat ability was improved.
  • The vitejs SDK has released version 1.1.4 to support contract calls. Vitejs documentation is under development.
  • Android airdrop function research and program design was conducted.

Gateway

  • Access to USDT is under development. Cross-chain mapping to Vite is under design and development.

DEX

  • The front-end development of the exchange was completed by 90%. Joint debugging with the back-end service has now been initiated.
  • The push test of real-time data’s back-end service was completed by 90%. Service monitoring development was completed by 100%. Scheduled task service development was completed by 30%.
  • Contract v1.0 version that supports the development of dividend mechanism was completed by 70%.

Community Building

  • February 4–10: Chinese New Year Festival lottery. Participants had to send 1 VITE to the lottery pool for getting a chance to win a big prize. Finally, 5 winners were chosen to share the pool of 10891 VITE.
  • February 4: The “ViteVS” campaign which lasted for one month on Twitter was successfully completed. During the event, we received many valuable suggestions. The winners of the awards each received 300 VITE rewards.
  • February 10: Vite onboarded an intern, Jun Kim, from a joint program between South Korea’s “Software Master” (SW Maestro) and UC Berkeley. Jun is scheduled to use the Vite TestNet to create a dApp “VitePlayer” which will ensure the integrity of hospital surveillance videos.
  • February 12: We released a Valentine’s Day V-day campaign where users were asked to design and tweet an image that highlights the “V-Day” theme. Winners could earn up to 50,000 VCP.

Activities

  • February 8: Vite Labs established a dialogue with the Russian supernode Tenzor, a team based in Moscow, focusing on the venture capital fund of blockchain technology. This discussion allowed the community and new users to better understand our SBPs. Tenzor senior analyst Daniil said that “Vite is both a complete ecosystem and a good investment opportunity.”
  • February 10: Vite COO Richard Yan was invited to an interview with BlockchainBrad, a YouTube influencer. The video may be viewed here.
  • February 14: Vite CMO Luke Kim participated in the blockchain industry exchange event — Startup Grind on behalf of Vite Labs. The event allowed us to network with blockchain enthusiasts potentially seeking to develop on the Vite platform.
