Vite Wallet App 101
Everything you need to know about Vite wallet app!
Recently, we’ve been bombarding our community with posts about the upcoming launch of ViteX! Today, we’re taking a break from all of that and bringing you a post inspired by one of our dedicated community managers in Japan, who wrote his own step-by-step article about the Vite wallet app.
Please note, this article is written for iOS users so features and functions may differ slightly from Android.
Step 1. Visit www.vite.org.
Once you’re there, install the wallet from the Vite App onto your smartphone (the link is right on the front page so you don’t even need to look for it).
Step 2. Open the Vite App and create your account.
Click “Create Account” to make a new account. If you want to restore a wallet, click the “Import Account” button.
On the next screen, enter the account name (this will be the name of your wallet). Then, as with any account, set up your password. We shouldn’t have to tell you this, but follow the rules to making a good password — that is, don’t make it too short, get creative with your numbers and symbols, and most importantly, don’t forget it. ;)
Following your password creation, a mnemonic phrase will appear.
This phrase is incredibly important. This phrase is called a “seed” and is used to restore your wallet. For example, if you decide to also create a web wallet on your PC, simply enter this seed phrase and your wallet will be copied. Alternatively, if you forget your password but have your seed phrase, you can regain access to your wallet.
Be sure to record your seed phrase and keep it in a safe place.
Obviously, don’t tell anyone (unless you want them to have access to your wallet).
Step 3. Adjust your wallet settings.
Click on the human icon in the bottom right bar to find your wallet settings. Here, you can set up security precautions such as creating a password lock or using Face ID to complete transactions. Once you finish this step, your wallet is completely set up and ready for use!
Now, let’s take a look at the main wallet pages and functions.
Main Wallet Page
All your holdings are listed on the main page. You should see something like this:
VITE = The Vite platform native token.
VCP = Vite Community Point. You can win VCP if you participate in Vite’s campaigns and events. These points can be exchanged at the Vite online store for Vite goodies including T-shirts, hats, sweaters & more!
ETH = Ethereum, duh.
On the upper right side of the screen, there is a QR code scanner for when you want to scan a wallet address to complete a transaction. Below that is a blue plus sign. Click on it, and you’ll see the following:
Use this button when you want to add ERC20 tokens to your wallet. You will see that you can also add Vite Test Tokens (VTT), but for the time being, there is no need to use them.

You will find your Vite wallet address here, alongside a QR code for sending and receiving transactions.
The “Vote” button takes you to the Snapshot Block Producer (SBP) voting page where you can vote for your favorite SBP or, as we like to call them, Supernode. In short, SBP’s create the blocks that go onto the Vite blockchain and in return, they get VITE as a reward. If you vote for an SBP, that SBP distributes a portion of their VITE rewards to the wallet holders who voted for them (y’know, to keep incentivizing you to vote for them). This will typically happen once per day. The amount of VITE you get is proportional to the amount of votes the corresponding SBP received.

Earn Free VITE Through AirDrop
Find the icon that looks like Saturn on your Main Page — this will take you to the Vite Airdrop, where you can get free VITE daily. The Vite Airdrop is one of the main benefits of having the Vite wallet app. Every 24 hours, you can get between 10 and 1000 VITE. The only thing you have to do is remember to hit the orange button once the timer counts down to 0. Once you do, you’ll get your VITE and the timer will reset to 24 hours.
Strategically Guess (a.k.a. Gamble) on the High Roller Game
Below the Vite AirDrop, you’ll find a link to our High Roller game, which we built to test Vite’s platform capabilities for supporting a decentralized application (dApp). In this game, you can bet Vite from your wallet on what you think the dice roll will be and earn VITE if you guess correctly. Since you can guess from one to five numbers at a time, the number of Vite you get will depend on the probability of your success. For example, if you guess five numbers and are successful, your VITE rewards will be a lower multiple of the original amount you bet given that your probability of success was high (5/6 as opposed to say, guessing only one number which gives you a probability of 1/6 of getting the correct number).
