What is ViTrox-Publication?
ViTrox-Publication is the initiative launched by the Center of Excellence (CoE), one of the departments in ViTrox, to share the knowledge and experience that we possess with the world. Using this platform, we wish to:
- Connect talents around the world.
- Bridge the gap between education and employment.
- Promote technological development.
Guidelines for ViTrox-Publication Writers
1. Is there a need to write this story?
Make sure that the content of your story covers the area that is under-served or presents a new idea or approach. Think twice if you wish to post the content covering the issues and concepts that are widely discussed by others.
2. Is the title short? Is the subtitle insightful?
Use subtitles so you can keep the title of your story short and precise. Make sure that the subtitle of your story is insightful to get your readers’ attention.
3. Do you add the featured image before you start to write the content?
Add a featured image that can describe the content of your story the best before you start the story-telling. Make sure that you cite the featured image if it does not belong to you.
4. Is your code well-displayed?
Either use Medium’s native code blocks & incline code or embed GitHub gits to visualize the code. It is not advisable to screenshot the code directly.
5. Are your references follow the format as mentioned?
The format should be “[X] N, Name. (Year). Title. Source.”. For instance:
[1] Smith, C. (1999) Handbook of the International Phonetic Association: A guide to the use of the International Phonetic Alphabet. Phonology.
[2] MacGillis, A. (2019). The case against Boeing. The New Yorker.
6. Are the tags precise enough?
The proper tags’ assignment allows your users to find your story and publisher editors to classify it easily.
7. Do you follow Medium’s guidelines?
Make sure that the design of your story follows the Medium’s curation guidelines and Medium’s content guideline.
8. Do you read and agree on Medium’s Rules and Terms of Service?
As a writer, you own the rights to the content that you have created. At the same time, you bear all the risks including someone else’s reliance on its accuracy, or claims relating to intellectual property or other legal rights. Make sure the originality and accuracy of the content of your story.
How to submit an article to ViTrox-Publication
The writer positions currently open to ViTrox employees and interns registered with their personal or company emails only. We plan to accept articles from writers outside ViTrox in future.
