(Oslo, 22/12/17) European telecoms giant A1 Telekom Austria Group have selected Viva Labs to power their move into the smart home market. Together they’ll provide plug-and-play solutions for security and comfort based on Viva’s AI platform for homes.

The smart home market has been growing significantly over recent years, driven by a consumer need for more secure and energy efficient homes. In the USA, Telcos have already taken a strong position, and now the European players are making their move. The Viva platform makes it possible for them to differentiate in an increasingly competitive market.

“We’re excited to work with A1 Telekom Austria Group to power their move into this space,” says Henrik Holen, Managing Director and Co-founder of Viva Labs. “With their strong brands and dominant positions in their markets, we’re expecting significant growth going forward”.

The launch with A1 Telekom Austria Group and A1 in Austria strengthens Viva’s presence in the European market and represents a strong validation for Viva Labs, who were also recently named a Cool Vendor in the Connected Home by Gartner.

“We as A1 Telekom Austria Group are very happy for partnering with Viva labs for our One2many Smart Home Group solution”, says A1 Group Director Gernot Rasch. “For us Smart Home with a strong security focus is the logical next step to extend our portfolio and provide peace of mind to our customers for their homes.”

Viva Labs is an Oslo-based smart home platform provider using artificial intelligence to enable mass market adoption for smart homes. Viva-based products work out of the box, without programming, and then adapt to family routines and behaviours, controlling heating, security, and lights.

The platform is available as white label SaaS solution that lets ISPs, telcos, utilities, and others launch smart home solutions under their own brand.
