The Danes love Hygge, or comfortable homes, and just in time for Christmas, those homes will get a lot smarter too, as leading Danish utility and Internet provider SE launches Viva Labs AI-based smart home platform.

SE will launch a revolutionary smart home and security solution that fully automates alarm, door locks, lights, and heating in one simple solution, priced at a very competitive 149DKK/month for an easy to use solution that anyone can install and benefit from.

“We’re excited to help SE bring our cutting edge smart home technology to the Danish market”, says Henrik Holen, Managing Director at Viva Labs, “combined with their strong brands and customer relationships, it’ll be a great success”.

With this launch, services based on Viva’s smart home platform will be available in 7 European markets, with more being added in early 2019. This growth shows how European service providers are ditching Silicon Valley and instead looking in their own backyard to find vendors that understand the European perspective on privacy, culture, and behaviour — hygge, if you will.

“SE provides reliable energy, broadband, TV, and telephony to almost 1 million customers, making life easier every day. As technology for the home evolves, it’s only natural that we see smart home as an integrated part of our services portfolio on top of our electricity and broadband infrastructures”, says Torben Kring, Commercial Director at SE.
