When it comes to marketing everyone has their vision about it. Now a days, to keep up with the trends and newness of this era might be the only real important thing to take into account, especially in the startup branch. Perhaps the only proper way to realize this is by attending Content Marketing.

The concept; Content Marketing, has gained a lot of popularity over the last couple of years. The concept itself includes forward-thinking and an efficient manner of approach. Efficiency, strategy and relevancy might be the key concepts to difference yourself from the wide range of competitors present on the now-a-days markets. Accidentally this is exactly what the meaning of Content marketing is.

Content marketing differences itself from regular marketing by providing only relevant and valuable content to prospects. Marketeers do this with the purpose of retaining and attracting a clearly defined audience and drive them to actions which eventually provides profit. Now, I can hear your brain cracking with all pros and cons. So first things first; The benefits!

1~ Visibility on search engines
When providing relevant information to you prospects, you are securing yourself of a position at the search engine. Every topic your prospects search for on the internet, you are more likely to pop up there when attending content marketing. When you know what your prospects considers ‘relevant’ you have to provide something similar and meeting their need without them even noticing it yet. Now this is super-efficient and totally now-a-days!

2~ Conversion rate increasement
Without attending content marketing you mainly focus on gaining visitors to your website/company. Now did you know that at the most companies, the bounce rate (the % of visitors which leave immediately after arriving) is around 50%. When thinking about this, actually this is pure logic. With a regular marketing strategy, you attract people to your site without even knowing if they are interested in your product, pure by putting yourself out there as ‘interesting’. With the use of content marketing you only achieve the visitors which are already interested in your product because you already provided them relevant content. In this way your bounce rate will drop immediately and your conversion rate will increase. Of course, on the long-term, this provides more purchases and thus provides a higher yield.

3~ Social media success
With putting valuable and relevant content on your social-media you will immediately gain more followers which are interested in your products and vision because they know through your content where you stand for. There is no option of unclarity.

4~ Improved competitive position
With the use of content marketing, of course, you immediately position yourself in a proper way. You immediately make sure where you stand for. Not only to your customers but also to all the other competitors on the market. Your USPs are unique.

5~ Suitable for low budget
It is common knowledge to be aware of the fact that the budgets around startups are relatively low. This is why content marketing, especially within a startup, is so efficient. Content marketing is relatively cheap. It costs relatively much time and little money. Within the first months it will probably not pay of its investment. On the long-term though, it out sees easily triple its investment.

6~ Educate the prospects
A benefit of content marketing is when you educate the prospects. You provide them with the knowledge of their need for your
product. Ok, that may sound too difficult. Simply said; when prospects are not aware of their problems they consider themselves as not in the need for your product (solution). Here is where your content marketing comes in! Persuade the customer with relevant content, why they do need your product. Because after all, when anyone is not aware of their problem they will never start seeking for a solution right? It is all about making your product convenient for the customer!

7~ Building customer relationships
Previous to your entire customer relationship, with content marketing, you make sure you are already valuable for your customer. By providing them valuable/relevant content they became on a certain level, dependent on your services and knowledge. They know you’re worth and they know what their benefits of your services are. Thereby the connection between the company and the customer immediately has more strength then any relationship, build on regular marketing. Because when two parties take advantage of each other, the relationship is most likely to last.

So, now after reading about all these benefits for your startup about attending content marketing there should not be anything holding you back from getting started! Go Go Go!
