How to easily clean your card terminal

This is an easy guide on how to disinfect your card terminal

What you will need:

• Disposable disinfectant wipes for electronic devices

OR

• A soft cloth spayed with disinfectant cleaning spray for electronics

What to do:

1. Unplug your device or turn off your terminal
2. Carefully rub the exterior of the card terminal with the wipe or cloth.
   Be particularly thorough around buttons and sides where people tend to grab the terminal.
   If an area gets too wet, immediately wipe it with a dry cloth or paper towel.
3. Make sure the wipe or cloth is moist, but not too moist with excessive liquid.
4. Wash your hands and switch the terminal back on

Don’t

• Don’t use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, ammonia, abrasives, or cleaners containing hydrogen peroxide to clean the display.
• Avoid excessive wiping, which might cause damage.
• Avoid abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels, or similar items.
• Keep liquids away from the product, unless otherwise noted for specific products.
• Don’t get moisture into any openings.
• Don’t use aerosol sprays, bleaches, or abrasives.
• Don’t spray cleaners directly onto the item.

You should aim to clean it as often as possible, ideally after each time it was touched by a customer.
