Viva Wallet brings Google Pay to its customers in 11 countries
Viva Wallet customers in 11 countries, can now enjoy the benefits of Google Pay, the most popular mobile payment method for Android users.
By saving their Viva Wallet Debit Card as a payment method on their Google Account, Viva Wallet customers can now experience a faster, more secure way to pay on websites, in apps, and stores by using Google Pay.
Easy to Set Up, Easy to Use
Our customers who use Android smartphones can now simply download the Google Pay app and add their Viva Wallet Mastercard card.
Once they have added their card, they can start using their phone to tap and pay wherever contactless transactions are accepted, such as in a store or on public transport, giving them the ability to pay without needing to take out their wallet or use a pin pad.
For payments that go over the predefined contactless transaction limit, all they have to do is unlock their phone before making the payment, enabling them to spend more than the predefined limit securely.
Together with the contactless functionality, making payments anywhere is possible without an internet connection. There is also no need to open Google Pay, or the Viva Wallet app, as their card is now stored and ready to use on their Android device.
Extra Levels of Data Security
The security of our Viva Wallet customers is paramount, so along with the convenience of using Google Pay, when our customer links their Viva Wallet Mastercard card, an extra layer of security is added via Mastercard’s “Tokenization” technology.
Mastercard’s platform protects the cardholder’s information by replacing account numbers with a unique alternate card number, or “token”, ultimately offering protection on their payment information with multiple layers of security.
Google Pay is now available for Viva Wallet Customers in Belgium, Czech Rep., Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden, UK.
