We strive to build a comprehensive platform to let people track, chart, share, and interact with their portfolios and the community at large.

That said, one of the most exciting technological trends could be seen as mixed reality. Also known as augmented reality — really anything defined as allowing a user to view digital assets positionally and rotationally tracked in real time to the user’s real world environment through the use of inside out tracking. As we see in the current markets, simple plane detection with AR Kit and AR Core exist, as well as more advanced spatial reconstruction found in devices such as Microsoft’s HoloLens, which allow for various levels of reality integration, such as having occlusion of digital objects behind real world walls and tables by having a real-time map of the surrounding spaces geometry.

I want to spend some time however talking about the world scale digital reality we are soon moving into:

There will come a day in the not too distant future where spatially driven experiences — no matter the type of device used, will be leading more and more of our interaction with information and each other. Snapchat’s AR filters, Pokémon GO, and so much more thanks to the massive push from Apple and Google in their respective mobile SDK’s are making spatially aware computation an everyday reality for millions globally at this very moment.

Yet still, in that not too far future, there exists an upcoming shift of a fully volumetrically mapped and dynamically updated model of our entire physical world — a world where all places, spaces, roads, restaurants, restrooms, and homes are all continuously updated and mapped by the devices we hold and wear in order to serve all users no matter the type of device, or from what manufacturer they own. Everyone can experience this new society 2.0 where the physical and digital have blended to never be separated again in this new mixture.

Turn your warehouse red brick building into an MR wonder — for $1999 a month from Google Ad Spaces

2032: In Miami a club has purchased the e-spatial rights for the property that their new restaurant resides in. They made the subscription agreement with Google Ad Spaces, who purchased the rights to that district from Apple recently. The building is white, modern, art deco style with large glass windows that is no architectural slouch on its own. Yet, the fact that everyone in this brave new world wears MR glasses means the 4 story white building, takes on ten rocketing stories in added height and appears to be surrounded by an infinitely complex dynamically shifting geometric form, pulsating to the music inside. Clearly the restaurateur had an excellent experience, design and animation team that worked with the chef to fuse their geometrically shaped 3D printed chocolate gastronomic wonders served as a specialty dessert, with the equally styled digital architecture of the property.

2018: AR and MR as we know them today are the Macintosh to the GUI of our era. However, we are moving into an ascendance where computing, digital spaces, experiences and information become more weighted in our existence than the real world that they are blended with.

A truly volumetrically mapped world must consider rules, zoning, and governance standards that in the traditional real world, land, air and sea rules and rights were developed. If there is a global standardized network for world scale spatial computing, all devices would share a common set of standards. There will be many considerations made that all devices and their viewers share this new singular digitized world equally is still a ways off. Tesla and others are digitizing our roads in order to enable self driving for the masses — the whole world, or at least entire cities, will soon see a need to legalize ownership rights on physical spaces to manage this secondary realities civility and economic vibrancy.

2018 is heating up to be a major year.
