An afternoon stroll in high desert terrain opened a strikingly angular view of the world for nature photographer CF Lovelace. With hundreds of square miles of open space, it takes a good eye to frame the occasional artistically interesting view. Digital processing and filtering give a flowing motion to the static scene and let the landscape’s hidden color pop, reminding us that life is pretty damn spectacular. Happy New Year!
