We got published our add-on Reports by Vizydrop into Jira Marketplace a month ago and we are analyzing some user troubles in Jira related to the possibility of visualizing data. Let me show what kind of questions related to Jira custom fields can be answered using our visualization platform.

Count of issues over the custom field

Let’s say there is configured the “Browser” custom field for defects. QA puts the browser affected by the issue into it.

The question is “In what kind of browser our app is the most buggy for users?”. Let’s answer using the visual table:

Nothing should be done to have the “Browser” custom field be displayed in the fields catalog. Our specially designed Jira connector shows it automatically and even if you have a custom field with the same name and type in another project it will be treated as the same field so you can compare custom fields data over multiple projects in one report.

Custom fields dynamics over creation date

Let’s assume the numeric field “Cost” is created for every issue and we are going to analyze cost dynamics over the creation date of issues.

Custom fields cumulative by status over date

Let’s assume the numeric field “Cost” is created for every issue and we are going to explore cost dynamics by status over date.

Thanks for trying our Reports by Vizydrop for Jira.

Let us know about any questions or comments.
